WHALE SIGHTINGS 2009

Humpbacks generally travel through King George Sound on their way north and Southern Right whales will generally spend weeks just off the coast. At times staying in the same area for 6 to 8 weeks just hundreds of meters from shore.

We have tried to give you an idea of where the whales were sighted. This will enable you to relate it back to our map. Please note that these whales were close to the boat unless otherwise stated. We do not count whales further than 500 meters from the boat.
