Pygmy Blue Whale

I have been operating whale watching cruises now longer than any other skipper in Western Australia. I started in May 1998. It's amazing what I have seen out on the water but I still get blown away at times, when you get days like today. We had the pleasure to catch up with a Pygmy Blue Whale cow & calf. I have seen the odd Pygmy Blue but never so close, at one point they turned and swam under the boat. We only saw the calf on the surface so close but mum would not have been far away. I do love my job.
